Fodor's Review:

Originally deeded in 1796 and built by Thomas W. Johnson, Briland's first doctor and justice of the peace, this handsome seven-bedroom bed-and-breakfast, set in a garden filled with bougainvillea, royal poincianas, and hibiscus, thrives thanks to the loving preservation work of genial innkeeper John Hersh. Each guest room is quaintly furnished with a distinctive array of antiques and local artwork, and overlooks either the harbor or garden. A favorite is the Harry Potter Room, tucked under the stairs but much more spacious than you'd imagine with its vaulted ceiling. Enjoy an alfresco full breakfast every morning on the verdant deck. Pros: central location in the middle of Dunmore Town, historical house, peaceful garden. Cons: not on the beach, limited hotel services.

This is a really cute bed and breakfast with comfortable beds and nice clean bathrooms. All of the rooms are unique and painted pretty colors with nice decorations. There is a nice reading room and a living room with tv. Breakfast is fresh fruit and toast/pastries for breakfast with fresh-squeezed orange juice and coffee. It's right up the street from the ferry dock and close to everything else as well. I would definitely recommend this hotel for Harbour Island. The only real drawback is that when you leave your room you cannot lock the door, just close it and put a stopper in front of it to keep it closed. There are safes in each room, though. We completely loved our stay here!
