Fodor's Review

Snorkelers and divers will want to spend some time at Gaulding's Cay beach, 3 mi north of Gregory Town. Swim, or walk at low tide, out to the tiny offshore island to witness a concentration of sea anemones so spectacular it dazzled even Jacques Cousteau's biologists (it's as if someone laid down a carpet). Gaulding's Cay is also a nice 1,500-foot shelling stretch for beachcombers. Amenities: none. Best for: snorkeling; sunset.

Gaulding's Cay Review

As commented, this Cay/beach is indeed shallow; perfect for young children to snorkle. While our 5 year old caught crabs at the waterline, our 8 year old easily swam to and explored the "island" 50 yards offshore. Plenty of fish, sea fans, brain coral, and more. Shaded parking too.

Gaulding's Cay Review

Awful for scuba...very shallow all the time and long way out, Just OK for snorkeling,no shells, only small fish near ends of cay.It is a small cay.We found much better waters and beaches in south Eleuthera.
