Rock House Review

With a drawing room straight out of a villa on the Amalfi Coast, the Rock House is Harbour Island's most luxurious boutique hotel. Originally a complex of historic harborside buildings, the hotel was designed by the late Wallace Tutt (the builder of Gianni Versace's mansion in Miami) and owner Don Purdy, who attentively orchestrates a pampering, intimate haven for his discriminating international clientele. Fresh orchids fill every room, private cabanas line the heated courtyard pool, and the congenial staff cater to your every need. Guest rooms are a sophisticated mix of contemporary and island furnishings, outfitted with thoughtful amenities like a picnic basket for beach forays and custom-designed extra-padded mattresses. After feasting at the Rock House's celebrated restaurant, you'll want to take advantage of the island's only fully outfitted gym (exclusively for guest use).

The Rock House was wonderful for our honeymoon! The service was flawless and the accommodations were great. Staff knew our names upon arrival and gave us a friendly tour of the property. The Rock House is laid-back and relaxing, but also elegant and refined. A bonus is that all guests must be over-18, so there are no children running around! We will definitely return to Harbour Island and would never stay anywhere else. The Rock House was great!
