Locals and travelers alike seek out this popular snow-cone-green house overlooking the beach for a little "sip sip" (Bahamian for gossip) and delicious inspired food. Chef and owner Julie Lightbourn uses whatever is fresh, local, and in season to create "Bahamian with a twist" dishes, so check what daily specials are on the blackboard. Conch chili is one of her signatures; consider yourself lucky if the lobster quesadillas are available, and don't miss the decadent carrot cake with ginger-caramel. Sip Sip only serves lunch, from 11:30 to 4.

Right on the beach, great food, great service, great people, it was our favorite !! The fried grouper and cole slaw is a must !! Oh - have a SipSip rum punch and think of me !! I miss that place !

Sip Sip, Bahamian for Gossip...outstanding culinary experience all around. Lobster Quesadilla was superb, Goombay Smash was delicious and the service was excellent. The celebs at the next table were tanned and laughing right along with the rest of the plebian vacationers. The Conch (Konk, like Konk on the head, not with a CH like Cheese sound) was spicy and the hummus surrounded by hot pita wedges was also not to be missed. KUDOS SIP SIP!
