Harbour Island Travel Guide

Sports and the Outdoors

Biking

Michael's Cycles. Bicycles are a popular way to explore Harbour Island; rent one—or golf carts, motorboats, Jet Skis, and kayaks—at Michael's Cycles. Colebrooke St., Dunmore Town, Harbour Island. 242/333–2384.

Boating and Fishing

There's great bonefishing right off Dunmore Town at Girl's Bank. Charters cost about $350 for a half day. The Harbour Island Tourist Office can help organize bone- and bottom-fishing excursions, as can all of the major hotels.

Stuart Cleare. Bonefish Stuart is one of Harbour Island's best bonefishing guides. You'll want to call well in advance to arrange a trip with him. Harbour Island. 242/333–2072 or 242/464–0148.

Scuba Diving and Snorkeling

Ocean Fox Diving and Deep-sea Fishing Center. Ocean Fox Diving and Deep-sea Fishing Center provides dive trips. Harbour Island Club and Marina, Dunmore Town, Harbour Island. 242/333–2323.

Valentine's Dive Center. This dive center rents and sells equipment and provides all levels of instruction, certification, and dive trips. Valentine's Resort and Marina, Bay St., Dunmore Town, Harbour Island. 888/462–0462. www.valentinesdive.com.
