The Berry Islands Travel Guide
One of two crescent beaches that scoop the coastline of Great Harbour Cay, this beach is within walking distance of the airport and Great Harbour Village and town. The 5-mile sweep appeals to beachgoers who like the conveniences of food, drink, and hotel with their sand. The Beach Club restaurant and some houses line its length. Amenities: food and drink. Best for: sunset; swimming; walking.
For the best seclusion on Great Harbour Cay's 7 miles of beach, move to its second main beach 5 miles north, where rock bluffs divide the gorgeous, fine white sand into "private" beaches roughly 1 mile in length. Exploring the Sugar Beach Caves is an added attraction. The calm waters along these coved beaches make them great for snorkeling. Amenities: none. Best for: solitude; sunrise; snorkeling; swimming; walking.
