Aruba is a popular destination for Caribbean weddings. You must be over the age of 18 and submit the appropriate documents one month in advance. Couples are required to submit birth certificates with raised seals, through the mail or in person, to Aruba's Office of the Civil Registry. They also need an apostille -- a document proving they are free to marry -- from their country of residence. Most major hotels have wedding coordinators, and there are other independent wedding planners on the island.
With so many beautiful spots to choose from, weddings on Aruba are guaranteed to be romantic. The island's endless beaches are a natural pick, but other choices include the tropical gardens at Arikok National Wildlife Park, the top of one of the Natural Bridges, or aboard a sunset cruise. And be sure to register for the island's "One Cool Honeymoon" program for special discounts from local businesses.
