El Gaucho Argentine Grill
El Gaucho Argentine Grill Review
Faux-leather-bound books, tulip-top lamps, wooden chairs, and tile floors decorate this Argentina-style steak house, which has been in business since 1977. The key here is meat served in mammoth portions (think 16-ounce steaks). A welcome feature is a children's playroom, which allows adults to dine while the kids are entertained with videos and games. Be warned, though: even with the kids out of sight, the noise level can still be a bit high in this busy restaurant.

We were guided to the bar across the street. We were 30 minutes early. Had a good cocktail. Take small flashlight if you really want to see the bill. We were called with pager and seated immediatly. Excellent wine list(nice Argentinan Malbec). Our waiter fussed over us. Water was never allowed to get below an inch from top. 12 oz filet arrived(weighing more like 15 oz) perfectly cooked and very tender. Great veggies. The room was a little noisy due to the good time and relaxed atmosphere of the patrons. So many people having a good time.

This Argentinian steak house seats 412 people and we had to wait a few minutes for our reserved table which gives you some idea on the size of this operation. This service was excellent, the steak very good and the overall experience well worth the price. Would be interested to try the competition next time as a benchmark, but would happily return here.
