Westin added a few extra touches to the already tasteful rooms at the former Wyndham, including flat-screen TVs. The fine restaurants that helped make this hotel a standout choice in the past remain as well (in fact, besides the logo change, it's difficult to tell the difference). Rooms, though not as large as those at some other resorts, are beautifully furnished with plentiful wood accents. The grand public spaces are always decorated with floral displays and are designed to calm. Diversions are readily available in the casino and spa; the hotel's cabaret show at the Cabaret Royale is well worth seeing even if you aren't staying here. The fact the hotel has a Director of Fun and a program called Love Your Family is testament to their dedication to keeping guests entertained. Although it isn't cheap, the hotel offers good value for a luxury hotel by Aruba standards. Pros: chic and airy rooms; magnificent beachfront and pool area; comprehensive spa facilities; great restaurants. Cons: immediate area is congested and busy; resort lacks an intimate feel.
