Fodor's Review

Named after the Scotch Bonnet pepper called Madame Janette in Aruba, the food here is surprisingly not Caribbean spicy but French-inspired from the classic haute cuisine–trained chef. Though they do fuse Caribbean flavors when they see fit, especially in the fish and seafood dishes, you’ll find a lot of classic heavy butter and cream sauce offerings for the meats like Peppercorn Cognac, Béarnaise, and Hollandaise. They also have Aruba's largest selection of specialty beers due to one co-owner's avid interest in craft brewing. They also have a surprising number of specialty schnitzels. The commitment of the owners to serve only top quality in all of their offerings has won Madame Janette many prestigious culinary awards. You can be sure that a night at this spot will never disappoint when it comes to an over-the-top taste experience.
