Aficionados flock here to enjoy a wide selection of seafood and the largest raw bar on the island. The atmosphere is casual, with a distinctly New England feel. Things can get a little noisy in the open dining room, but a few sips of wine from the extensive list should help numb the effect. Maine lobster and Alaskan king crab legs are available, but why try the usual fare when you can order the Fisherman's Pot, which is filled with everything from scallops to monkfish? The wood grill serves up great low-cal treats, such as mahimahi. Raw bar lovers can rejoice, as the restaurant has one of the largest selections on the island. The restaurant is an AGA VIP member.

Never a bad meal.

We've been to the Aqua Grill at least ten times and we've never had a bad experience. The seafood is always terrific, and the service is great. They also have a very good wine list. We typically go in June, so the restaurant is probably not as crowded as other times of the year.

Over-rated

Most over-rated: the AquaGrill. We arrived at 8:15, were told that the wait would be 10-15 minutes, and seated at 8:55. We still did not have our food at 10 pm. We were served after that, but my husband's spinach was not. The waiter seemed to have forgotten. He went & submitted the request & did not charge us. It was lukewarm when it came out. He also offered us a free drink. My dish was pasta with seafood in tomato sauce: it was no more spectacular than what I would get at a local diner. I do not recommend this restaurant.

Consistent and Fresh

The best seafood on the island in my opinion. While there are many great seafood restaurants on the island, Aqua Grill has the best menu and is reasonably priced. They also have a great wine list. Also, great decor.

Nice decor and the service is good but the food is just average. I've been there 3 times with mixed results.

What happened Aqua Grill????
Posted by Bernadette from New York on 10/21/05
After reading the two reviews below, I was hoping to tell them they were wrong, but I can't. As they said, Aqua Grill was always my first & last dining spot in Aruba. I was there Oct 1, 2005. My ceviche was delicious as always, but the Chilean Sea Bass was very diappointing, overcooked, just ok, and not up to their usual standards. The other person ordered Fried Calamari as an appetizer which sells for $10.50. The dish was half empty, there were literally 14 rings on her dish. Sorry Aqua Grill... for the prices one pays, (& I'm far from being cheap) you lost me after this last visit.
