$$$-$$$$, Eclectic, Soldiers Bay
Fodor's Review:
Flaming tiki torches flank the entrance of this contemporary architectural take on a plantation greathouse. Inside, a candlelit foyer leads to a handsome polished-wood bar. Savoyard chef Pascal Bionaz delights in pleasing the eye as well as the palate with exquisite presentations. The Asian-tinged but classically French fare is artful, with such creative pairings as roast duck breast in raspberry-coffee sauce (the olive oil mashed potatoes are sublime), or a duo of salmon tartare and roasted salmon with tomato-pine nut salsa and coriander coulis. Sterling starters include crab cakes with wasbi-lime mayonnaise. In fair weather, opt for a terrace table overlooking the floodlit ocean. Despite the grandeur, service is warm and welcoming.
