Scattered along Antigua's beaches and hillsides are exclusive, elegant hideaways; romantic restored inns; and all-inclusive hot spots for couples. One trend: top restaurants, including Harmony Hall and Chez Pascal, have added charming, affordable cottages. Check individual lodgings for restrictions (many have minimum stays during certain high-season periods). Look also for specials on the Web or from tour packagers, since hotels' quoted rack rates are often negotiable. The latest splash, The Verandah, is an ecofriendly 200-room resort on the island's wild Atlantic coast, set to open in summer 2007; a Best Western along Dickenson Bay is also on the horizon.
