Davide and Barbara Anfi's dockside charmer lives up to its homey name, "My Kitchen." The pungent scent of garlic commingles with the salt air as you enter. Barbara escorts you to your table in the semi-alfresco space punctuated by glowing hibiscus and ixora, a few nautical touches, and a tree picturesquely growing through the roof. Davide will explain the menu, proudly if shyly noting he's from "three generations of Napoli restaurateurs," adding with a wink "but living 20 years on Antigua, though I keep trying to escape." He artfully weaves both traditions: The octopus or fish soup make splendid starters, as does the tremendous traditional sformato di zucchini (a light flaky pie with tomato sauce and homemade mozzarella, which also shines in the insalata Caprese). The glistening Neptune's seafood appetizer platter would easily please two for lunch. He effortlessly adapts his family's Aeolian recipes to Antiguan ingredients, but the ever-expanding wine list is patriotically Italian, with intriguing buys from Alta Adige, Campania, and the Langhe.
