For centuries Anguillians have ventured from these sands in colorful handmade fishing boats. Mostly calm waters are surrounded by a slender beach, not much for swimming or lounging, but there are several restaurants (Hibernia, Arawak Café, and Smitty's). This is also the departure point for a three-minute boat ride to Scilly Cay, where a thatched beach bar serves seafood. Just hail the restaurant's free boat and plan to spend most of the day (the all-inclusive lunch—Wednesday and Sunday only—starts at $40 and is worth the price). Amenities: food and drink. Best for: partiers.
