Anguilla Restaurants

Picante

Picante Review

This casual, bright-red roadside Caribbean taquería, opened by a young California couple, serves huge, tasty burritos with a choice of fillings, fresh warm tortilla chips with first-rate guacamole, seafood enchiladas, and tequila-lime chicken grilled under a brick. Passion-fruit margaritas are a must, and the creamy Mexican chocolate pudding makes a great choice for dessert. Seating is at picnic tables; the friendly proprietors cheerfully supply pillows on request. Reservations are recommended.

We loved the service, the friendly owners (Chloe and Theron), the guacamole is out of this world and the main dishes are very good. And, on an island with many very expensive restaurants, this is an excellent value.
