Fodor's Review

Imbued with island culture and traditions, this resort (its name is pronounced "an-nah-cah-oh-na") makes a low-key yet chic hideaway where guests feel like treasured friends. Every Thursday night Firefly restaurant becomes a vibrant, authentic Anguillian experience with traditional foods, music, and dance. Friendly and unpretentious guests mingle on lobby couches comparing restaurant experiences, and head off to the beaches together. It's a good choice for solo travelers. Standard rooms, which are small, have flat-screen TVs, comfy beds, and touches of Euro-decor. It's worth splurging on a superior room for the view and the added space. A five-minute stroll brings you to the beach and its thatched umbrellas and chaises; you can have lunch delivered right to your chair. A pretty spa complements week-long wellness retreats, detox and yoga slimming programs, and water sports. For those who hate big resorts, this is a great small one. Multi-night packages, especially in the low season, are a good value, and golf packages are available.
