It's possible to base yourself in Sandy Ground, Rendezvous Bay, Meads Bay, or Upper Shoal Bay without a car, but restaurants and resorts are quite spread out, so for the sake of convenience you may wish to rent a car for a few days or for your entire stay. If you do, prepare to drive on the left. Otherwise, the taxi ride from the airport to your hotel will be less than $25 even to the West End (and considerably less if you're going to Sandy Ground). Taxis are fairly expensive on Anguilla, another reason to consider renting a car.
