Fodor's Review

On 5,000-acres of rolling hills with sheep, cattle, horses, and dogs is a cozy, self-contained hillside cottage that welcomes guests. If you can peel your eyes from the far-reaching views of the blue Pacific you'll find a refrigerator stacked with breakfast goodies, a warming wood burner, and comfortable furniture. For fishing folk and hardy surfers, a beach is within walking distance. They also offer a three-day, three-night walk through farmland and bush from October to April. You stay overnight in cozy huts with all meals taken care of for $390 per person. This is a New Zealand experience not to be missed.
