For instance, you could try fresh fish of the day poached in buttered wine, served with wilted bok choy and ginger kumara (native sweet potato) mash, followed by chocolate-dipped strawberries, alongside a Classic Riesling. The room itself, with its vaulted ceiling, brick fireplace, and expansive view of the Tararuas, is a delight. You can take a winery tour, which includes a wine tasting, for $5.
