Fodor's Review:

Residents of the Mount Victoria neighborhood claim to live in the sunniest part of town -- the lure of all this sunlight, plus the pretty wooden Victorians and views of the city and harbor, make this one of the most-painted city landscapes. Wellington author Jane Tolerton has set up house in one of these villas and, true to her passion, lined the hallways and many of the rooms with books. Some of the books are free to take away with you (Jane doesn't believe in leaving a book half finished). In addition to books, the big, bright, high-ceilinged rooms are furnished with a hodgepodge of antiques, comfortable sofas, and armchairs. Jane will provide babysitting and long literary chats, as well as a steady supply of homemade oatmeal chocolate-chip cookies.
