Lake Ferry
Lake Ferry Review
It's 25 km (16 mi) through rolling sheep country to the coast at the tiny settlement of Lake Ferry on Palliser Bay. The lake in question, called Onoke, is a salt lagoon formed by the long sandbank here. Vacation homes, fishing spots, and remarkable sunsets bring in the weekend Wellingtonian crowd.
