Wellington Botanic Garden Review

In the hills overlooking downtown is a concentration of splendidly varied terrain. Woodland gardens under native and exotic trees fill the valleys, water-loving plants line a pond and mountain streams, and lawns spread over flatter sections with beds of bright seasonal bulbs and annuals. The lovely Lady Norwood Rose Garden is in the northeast part of the garden. If you don't want to walk the hill up to the garden, the Kelburn Cable Car can take you. Or take the No. 12 bus (direction: Karori) from Lambton Quay to the main (Glenmore Street) entrance.

    Wellington Botanic Garden Review

Nice park, but not outstanding botanic garden. Roses and a few other scattered plantings attractive. Mostly a nice walk down from the cable car.
