Fodor's Expert Review Martinborough Hotel Bar and Grill

Polished floors, chandeliers, and glistening glassware are the hallmarks of this restaurant adjacent to the Martinborough Hotel. There are some interesting paintings on the walls, but the focus of attention is on the kitchen where diners can get a ringside view of the chefs at work. A good example of their handiwork would be the grilled salmon fillet with cumin-braised fennel, baby leeks, green beans, and orange brandy glaze. This could be topped off by a brownie with vanilla ice cream and berry coulis. As you'd expect, there's a great local wine list. If you prefer a more casual menu, try the adjoining bar.
