Getting Here and Around

State Highway 6 passes through this region and is the only major road. Drive in from Hokitika to the north or Wanaka and Haast to the south. There are only a few fuel stops between Hokitika and Haast so watch your fuel gauge. InterCity buses and Atomic Shuttles come through daily from the north and the south, stopping at both glacier villages.
