This stunning winery and restaurant nestle unobtrusively on a hillside in Mahana. Views across the mountains and Tasman Bay are superb, as are the estate's wines. In an area once known solely for apple production, the wines now being created from this district are maturing with style. Mahana produces Pinot Noir rose (from 100% Pinot Noir grapes), Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, and Pinot Gris, and their Pinot Noir has received special accolades. Mahana Kitchen, the winery restaurant, champions local produce and complements Mahana wines. If you can take your eyes off the view, check out the artworks and sculptures around the estate, including some by internationally acclaimed Toss Woollaston, father of the original co-owner. Mahana Villa, a Pacific Mondernism-style luxury home with four suites, was built as the home of owner Glenn Schaeffer and is available to guests.
