Split Apple Lodge B&B Review

With breathtaking views across Tasman Bay and the jumbled, forested-covered ridges of Abel Tasman National Park this purpose-built lodge-style B&B seems miles from civilization, but it's not. Just a 10-minute drive from Kaiteriteri takes you to boat trips into Abel Tasman National Park, great swimming beaches, and walking tracks. The massive lounge area creates a busy social hub with a log fire, open kitchen, and a beautiful native beech table. Outdoors, a huge wraparound deck provides a stunning setting for summer breakfasts, evening barbecues, and swapping travel stories. Six lodge rooms are spacious, some with ocean views, and you'll sleep well-tucked under the goose-feather duvets. Hosts Paulette and Bert are very welcoming. Chemical-free rain water is on tap. A home-cooked dinner is available by arrangement in winter.
