Fodor's Review

Looking a bit like the little house on the prairie, yet just 12 km from town, this river rock and timber homestay is a delight. There's a B&B room in the main house and two well-appointed, self-contained cottages out past the barn. With particularly rural surroundings this place is full of rustic appeal. It's only a 10-minute walk down to the coast and there's a flood-lit tennis court for an evening game (racquets provided). There's a land-scaped barbecue area and

outdoor bathtub in the garden. Kids will love the sheep and pigs and the open spaces. The new West Coast Wilderness cycle trail runs past the front gate. Your hosts will lend you their bikes so you can go exploring if you wish—the whole 135 km or the 15 minutes to the local pub!
