Cape Campbell Walkway

Cape Campbell Walkway Review

The Cape Campbell Walkway is a 54-km (35-mi), four-day hike wanders through two high country sheep stations on the wild exposed Marlborough coastline, climaxing at the Cape Campbell lighthouse. Accommodations are in homesteads and farm cottages along the way. It's basically a self-catering trip but supplies are available the last two nights to save packing too much food. But rest assured, your packs are transported ahead each day anyway. A highlight is on night three when accommodations are in cottages just below the lighthouse and a few steps from the beach. There's a shorter two-day trip as well, and a good level of fitness is required. Not suitable for children under eight.
