Kohaihai Campsite Review

The southern end of the Heaphy Track is a stunning spot to camp if you want to experience the pristine setting of this remote spot. It's just a 15-km (10-mi) drive north of Karamea, the last 5 km (3 mi) are gravel, and there are basic facilities only. Inquire at the Karamea Information Centre. As with most of the West Coast, don't swim in the sea here as there are strong rips and undertows. Jump in the river instead.
