Mainline Station Cafe

Mainline Station Cafe Review

When traveling between Christchurch and Kaikoura the Mainline Station Cafe at Domett stands out among the slim eating options along the way. Built in the 100-year-old ex-Domett railway station, in the middle of rural North Canterbury, it's a sunny spot with a sheltered area of tables outdoors and a rustic atmosphere inside. There's a scrummy selection of cakes, slices, and cabinet food and a small blackboard menu of tasty homemade brunch and lunch dishes. Sunday in summer and spring is market day with local foods, arts and crafts available.
