Jester House Cafe
Jester House Cafe Review
This funky place is as much fun as the name suggests, and is a great spot to bring the kids. The café is built in an eco-friendly style, echoing the owners' feelings about a sustainable environment. The food is all made on the premises and includes a raft of muffins, cakes and biscuits to more hearty country fare like soups and chowders and kedgerees, salads and soufles. There's either cozy indoor seating or tables dotted through the garden and on a sunny veranda. For the kids there's a small playground, an enchanted forest, an outdoor chess set, and some extremely tame eels that can be hand-fed (September–May). Down in the back garden, the Boot B&B has comfy accommodations for couples.
