River Queen

River Queen Review

Blenheim was established by early settlers at the most inland, navigable point on the tiny Opawa River. The River Queen, a replica of one of the handsome old boats working this idyllic waterway, ambles sedately along the river every day in true country fashion. Unlike the mountainous majesty of the area's braided stone rivers, the narrow Opawa River twists and turns around historic bends and past sun-drenched homes and gardens bordered by weeping willows and lofty poplars. A tasty platter lunch is available on board; the lunch cruise takes 2 1/2 hours and the late afternoon cruise lasts 90 minutes.
