Fodor's Review:
If you want to experience a quintessential slice of Golden Bay life, swing by this place. Locals come for the live music (usually jazz or folk bands, which play on differing evenings starting at about 7), a bowl of mussel chowder, and some of the house-brewed beer. The decor is interestingly described as "Kiwi woolshed meets Aussie farmhouse." We'll take their word for it.
