Fodor's Review

With its pleasant outdoor terrace and open indoor spaces, this upbeat café is a favorite with the locals, and has the best coffee in town. Along with a caffeine fix, come for the bacon and eggs served on fresh ciabatta bread with pesto and hollandaise. Lunch, Light Bites, and baking menus serve tastes like kūmara (sweet potato) rosti with salsa, Thai beef salad, lemon slice, and their famous BLAT (bacon, lettuce, avocado, and tomato sandwich). Local art is on the walls and the menu changes seasonally, as does the small wine list. There's a big selection of low-allergy dishes and a healthy kids' menu. Breakfast served all day.
