Fodor's Review

Since 1912, the Rowley family has run this vast working sheep station, which comprises 28,000 acres from lake level to 5,000 feet and has more than 10,000 merino sheep! Accomodation provided is the Packhorse Cottage with modern amenities (kitchen facilities) and rustic character (patchwork quilts). On the outer deck you may enjoy views of the mountains and lake. Go fishing in the lake, or take a tour of the Alfred Buxton garden.
