A 20-minute drive from Queenstown, this glamorous resort has a special appeal for golfers: an 18-hole championship golf course that was designed by New Zealand professional Bob Charles. A luxurious spa pampers you whether or not you've taken advantage of the extensive exercise options. Accommodations range from rooms in the resort's main hotel to villas and multi-bedroom cottages. Standard rooms have private balconies and fireplaces. The villas have kitchens, laundry facilities, and large lounge/dining rooms. Pros: The golf course, the location. Cons: Big, sprawling, and impersonal.
