By Bus

InterCity buses run five times daily between Auckland and Rotorua. The journey takes 4 1/2 hours. Rotorua is something of a transportation hub: it's easy to reach Taupo, Hamilton, Tauranga, Wellington, Gisborne, and Napier by bus. Some of InterCity's routes are done by Newmans buses.
