Fodor's Review:
The exterior resembles a log cabin, but inside this lakefront lodge the rooms recall luxury rail travel in colonial Africa. Furnishings have an African theme, from the Assegai-style curtain track to the faux-leopard-skin upholstery. The spectacular mountain views recall you to your locale. The Serengeti Restaurant ($$$) serves breakfast for guests and dinner for all comers. Try the roasted ostrich fillet with garlic and red wine jus, followed by the warm apple-and-rhubarb shortcake, and you'll sleep like a well-fed lion.
