Te Anau Caves

Fodor's Review:

At Te Anau Caves, boats and walkways take you through a maze of caves containing underground whirlpools, waterfalls, and gushing streams. On the cave walls, glowworms shine like constellations in a clear night sky. The caves can be reached only by water, and the entire trip takes 2 1/2 hours. There are three trips per day during summer and two per day the rest of the year.
