You probably didn't come all the way to Invercargill to eat American cowboy-themed food in a chain (there are Lone Star restaurants in most NZ cities), but this place is worth recommending because it does have great value for a big appetite. If you ask for bread they bring you a loaf; the word "Huge" is used as an adjective more than once on the menu. The portions are huge, with heaps of sides that will leave you absolutely "chocka." Open every day 5-10 p.m.
