The prime dining spot in Russell, this waterfront restaurant combines subtly prepared yet flavorsome cuisine with arguably the best restaurant view in town—especially if you nab a table up front. The specialty of the house is the seven-course "Naturally Northland" degustation menu, which includes Orongo Bay oysters, and warm quail salad in a lavender vinaigrette. The crab, chili, and lime ravioli on a crayfish bisque with horseradish cream always sells out. If dinner sounds delicious but too rich for your wallet, all the lunch dishes are under NZ$20.
