Wairua
Wairua Review
Mr Hatrick's Motor Vessel Wairua is another of the classic riverboats rescued from the muddy riverbed and restored to first class, working order. One of the smaller boats, she worked regularly on the remote middle reaches in the early 1900s. Now the Wairua is based in Wanganui and makes regular two hour cruises upriver (NZ$36) and longer day trips to Hipango Park (NZ$45) during the summer. The exact timetables can change so it's best to check the website or phone to make bookings.
