Anndion Lodge and Apartment Review

With its blend of upmarket backpacker rooms and stylish apartments, along with fantastic facilities and personal attention to match, Anndion is one of New Zealand's market leaders. Owners Ann and Dion (get it?) sold their Harley bikes to afford the standard of service they want to provide, and they are so enthusiastic about doing this the property just keeps on growing. There's a selection of suites, fully self-contained apartments, plus very upmarket bunk rooms, singles (bed for one), twins, and doubles with shared bathrooms—though soaps and shampoos are provided. The shared kitchen has a sandwich press, rice cooker, electric knives, and a cappuccino maker. Outside a covered barbecue area sits beside a saltwater pool, hot tub, and infrared sauna; inside a TV lounge with an extensive DVD library, pool table, and free Internet access provide plenty of entertainment. Breakfasts can be pre-ordered. The lodge sits across the road from the Whanganui River.
