Manawatu Gorge Experience Review
Few rivers cut right through a mountain range, as does the Manawatu where it scythes a deep forest-lined gorge through the North Island divide, separating the Ruahine and Tararua Ranges. Manawatu Gorge Experience offers jet-boat trips into the gorge that climb narrow chutes, skim past huge boulders, and reveal scenery road travelers can't see. Manawatu Experience boats run 25-minute rides departing from the eastern side of the gorge, a 25-minute drive from the city.
