Ahu Ahu Beach Villas Review

On coastal farmland just above the beach about 15 minutes south of New Plymouth, this magical place to stay has rustic villas (each sleeps four) with magnificent sea views that let you catch the moon rise over the horizon. The villas are made of recycled materials, including 100-year-old French clay tiles and hardwood wharf piles. There's also the spectacular "underground" villa, which is built against a bank and has a grassy roof. Inside there are two queen-size beds and enough space to host a small party. Wi-Fi is available. The owners can provide breakfast supplies, or you can drive five minutes to Oakura Village, home to a renowned surf beach and great cafés.
