At the Agrodome, a working sheep-and-cattle farm, you can take a guided tour through the farm and the kiwifruit orchard, but the main attraction is the farm show. Well-trained dogs run across the backs of sheep, and there are a shearing demonstration and lots of barking, noise, and farmyard smells. Heads-up to the uninitiated: what the shearer is wearing is not an undershirt but a shearing vest, a classic Kiwi item worn at some point by every red-blooded male and, yes, a few women, too! Expect plenty of wisecracks about pulling the wool over your eyes and about Whoopi Goldberg (here, a Lincolnshire sheep with dreadlock-style wool). Sure, it's corny, but it's fun. Shows are at 9:30, 11, and 2:30 daily.
