Capers Epicurean

Capers Epicurean Review

The pleasing scent of spices may entice you into this large, open restaurant, which opens early and closes late. Look for the roasted medallions of venison served with caramelised beetroot, creamed pumpkin, herb risotto, and red wine jus. Then wander to the dessert cabinet and choose amongst goodies like chocolate cherry frangipani tart. Half of the space is a delicatessen that sells preserves and specialty foods such as chutney made from kumara (a local sweet potato) and kawa kawa (a native herb) rub.
