Hush Boutique Accommodation Review

Nature is the feature here. Built around one of the main gold-mining spots in Coromandel, and part of the growing Driving Creek community, these small cabins are set up to resemble a more comfortable version of an old mining village. With high ceilings and views over a creek, the four cabins are connected by boardwalks and guests share a delightfully landscaped, open-air fully equipped kitchen/dining area. Each cabin has a mini-refrigerator and tea-and-coffee facilities, two have en suites. The cabins are built on low stilts over a creek and all facilities were renovated by new owners in 2012 (the property was previously known as Goldminers Retreat). There's also now a three-bedroom self-contained house and one self-contained one-bedroom unit. With the water and foliage below and mining relics scattered throughout the buildings, the place feels like part treetop village and part miners' camp.
