With an understated decor and aura of upscale, urban dining, Argo may not be what you'd expect in this small seaside town. But that hasn't stopped people from flocking to the restaurant for traditional New Zealand cuisine. All the classics are there, done in Argo's own way; smoked lamb rump, spiced duck breast, beef eye fillet - along with delectable matching jus and purees, seasonal fresh produce and excellent vegetarian options.
